We have a pretty busy weekly schedule which usually means no time to cook. Both Hubs and I have long commutes to and from work so we are definitely fans of easy yet delicious meals for our family. I was excited to see that a Papa Murphy's Pizza opened near our house so I stopped by to pick up their Chicken Bacon Artichoke Pizza for dinner after work one day.
What is unique about Papa Murphy's is that everything is prepared fresh daily - from the dough to grated whole-milk mozzarella cheese and hand-chopped veggies. Although they offer delicious selections, you can always customize your topping and crust to your liking. I love that you can order online and pick it up to take home to cook in your own oven so that it's fresh. I sometimes do feel guilty picking up fast food, especially when Hubs is traveling for work and I'm a single mom for a week each month. Papa Murphy's makes me feel at ease with their Chicken Raised Without Antibiotics - this means that the chickens are fed a vegetarian diet with no antibiotics, never, ever. How amazing is that they are acknowledging that consumers want to eat more natural and fresh foods?
The fresh take and bake pizza concept is perfect for me :: a follow the recipe type of cook. Just unwrap and pop into oven as is on the tray. It only takes 15 minutes to cook which is perfect timing to get the kids to wash their hands and sort through their schoolwork. They are usually hungry after I pick them up and this way they don't have to wait until 8pm-ish when Hubs comes home from work.
The store is exceptionally bright and clean which is awesome. The customer service is spot on and the best part is that it's literally a few minutes drive from the house. I called in my order and picked it up 10 minutes later. I popped it in the oven and after about 12 minutes (since we got thin crust) the pizza was bubbling and ready to eat. Papa Murphy's is about as fresh as you can get without making it yourself from scratch. Convenient and tasty - what more can you ask for?
