being MVP: Put It Together With Award Winning HABA Cubes Puzzle

Put It Together With Award Winning HABA Cubes Puzzle

Disclosure: My friend Rita received the following for review. All opinions are her own.

My son loves puzzles and figuring out how pieces fit together. I love the problem solving skills it helps develop. Recently I was introduced to the Cubes Puzzle by HABA and I love it from conception to application.  Best of all, my son enjoys it repeatedly making puzzles every day.

There are so many features of the Cubes Puzzle that I love because it has captured all the essential needs of a puzzle into one simple design with a 7 inch square frame and four 2 inch blocks that fit nicely inside. First of all, the Cubes Puzzle is a very basic design consisting of a frame work and 4 blocks that store compactly anywhere. Plus, when my son plays with it, I don’t have to worry about little pieces that go missing. Nothing more annoying about a puzzle than finishing the entire thing to realize a piece is missing and can’t be located. I never have to worry with the Cubes Puzzle.

Another big feature that I feel the Cubes Puzzle offers is variety. With typically puzzles once you make it once you are done. The Cubes Puzzle offers 3 double sided frames to work with allowing little ones to choose between 6 different puzzles to make. My son loves all the cute animals he gets to choose to make at any given time.

We have a ton of the wooden puzzles, but none of them quite compare to the Cubes Puzzle by HABA. The Cubes Puzzle isn’t just a matter of taking shapes and fitting them into correct spots. I watch my son turning the cubes to see what matches and then further trying to determine which direction the cube must be placed for the correct fit. With a little guidance he’s extremely excited when animal literally pops out to greet him. The 3-d effect of the puzzle is an added bonus that helps the Cubes Puzzle stand apart from competitors and make it fun to make.

With the incredible design of such a simple idea I truly appreciate all the fine motor skills and brain development this puzzle fosters. It is no surprise that the Cubes Puzzle is recipient of the National Parenting Product Award of 2016. It’s a great addition to any child’s collection.
