being MVP: STEM Robot Mouse Coding Activity Set + #Giveaway

STEM Robot Mouse Coding Activity Set + #Giveaway

I had read an article not too long ago about coding being the new second language being taught to young kids. I was intrigued and found it remarkable that it had mentioned simple methods of introducing the fundamentals of coding in easy to understand concepts for young minds. I always wanted to look further into that for my kids when the time came and here it is. I recently learned about STEM Robot Mouse Coding Activity Set from Learning Resources and am excited to bring it home for my kids especially since Kenzie has been "coding" at school.

STEM is geared for children over the age of 5 with hands-on experimenting. I love the way it helps kids challenge their minds by creating, programming and problem solving in a fun and exciting manner. Children don’t even realize they are learning key components to basic coding. Children build their maze and then use the coding cards to create a step-by-step path for Colby, the Programmable Robot Mouse to get to his reward: cheese! My kids love Colby and I love watching them grow and develop their brain.

The set includes 30 double-sided coding cards, 10 double-sided activity cards, a cheese wedge and an Activity Guide. There are 16 maze grids that my kids were able to use to create a 20”x20” maze board. And with the 22 maze walls and 3 tunnels kids are provided limitless variations to be able to create. My kids loved creating new puzzles and then solving them and every time Colby lights up and moved toward the cheese, they were excited to follow him on the chase.

The way our world has transformed in technology is amazing and I truly believe that a computer science foundation is a fundamental learning skill for children. Coding truly has replaced the definition of a second language from its traditional sense and I’m so excited to have products that are simple and fun to give my children a skill I found challenging in my college years. STEM is a remarkable and innovative toy that I strongly recommend parents to introduce into their homes.
