Top 7 Tips for Packing with Kids for Spring Break + $50 OshKosh Gift Card #Giveaway #BreakForSpring #OshKoshKids

With Easter fast approaching and the kids gearing up for their vacation from school, I've begun planning a much needed family vacation. As with all vacations with kids, staying organized is essential. This year or spring break we are planning to visit a lot of family and try to get some fun activities in along the way. As exciting as all this sounds, along with it cons the much dreaded packing for the kids. However, over the years I've come to realize seven essential tips to follow to make the daunting task simple.

Make A List. I always begin with a list from the moment I plan the trip until the moment we leave I keep a running list. I prefer using my iPhone for this so that as things come to my mind throughout the day I can update quickly and conveniently even in the middle of the night. It's also very handy when I check off things I've completed or recreate a list when needed.

Choose Versatile Clothes. Picking clothing that can be used in various weather conditions or activities makes it much easier than packing numerous "in case" outfits. OshKosh kids has the cutest kids fashion perfect for being versatile and their brand is always at the top of my choices for travel.

Get The Big Picture. I like to compile everything on the list together so I have a visual of everything I need to fit. It's a great way to determine the size of the bag needed and also helps me see if I have to condense further.

Roll Items Tightly. I find that rolling clothing and blankets gives me the ability to fit items into small spaces that would have otherwise been left empty. I love how much more I can fit using this method.

Ziplock Liquid Toiletries. I'm always afraid of liquid messes especially when you mix toiletries together. I like keeping similar items in one bag and always separate from the toothbrush.

Pack Some Extra Plastic Bags. I find plastic bags essential when traveling and are great for separating things later. I like having them available to separate dirty clothes from clean clothes when returning or even dirty shoes.

Relax. At the end of the day I find that I just have to take a deep breath and relax because things are bound to get crazy but I can at least rest assured knowing that I did a great job packing.

Applying these 7 techniques gets me through the roughest vacation planning and sets the tone for a great time knowing I'm prepared for everything.
