Put Me In The Story’s Holiday Personalized Book Tour + #Giveaway

Disclosure: My friend Rita received a book for review. All opinions are her own.

My son naturally loves reading (I should say me reading to him) so engaging him in books was easy. However, keeping him engaged in a book and loving it so that he wants to hear it repeatedly only happens with a select few. At the top of that list are his books from Put Me In The Story. He loves stories that include him and for me that means a repeat episode every night.

Recently Put Me In The Story introduced a new line of holiday books that has been a hit in our household. My son’s picture with Santa last year was full of tears and this year as we prepare for the upcoming holiday season we have been preparing him to meet Santa again in order to prevent a similar incident. Put Me In The Story’s Santa is Coming to My House has been a remarkable aid in getting my son excited about the spirit of Santa Clause and all the magical things he brings with him.

The story begins with a dedication to and a picture of my son, that he loves seeing each time we begin reading. I love the little personal details the story includes such as a map to my son’s actual home address for Santa to find. The story focuses on my son being a good boy and the journey Santa leads to get to him. My son is actually excited about Santa and doesn’t get scared when talking about him.

Unlike other holiday books this one involves my son so he can directly relate to the story. Not only does the book tell a story about Santa’s journey, but it also captures the magic and spirit of Christmas that appeals to little kids. It’s the mystical essence of Christmas that I grew up with and now my son is also looking forward to. The spirit of Santa is revived in this story with all the details on Santa’s work. It reinforces rewarding good behavior and my son is looking forward to putting out milk and cookies for his visit. He gets excited that he’s a good boy in the story and that Santa is making a journey with toys just for him.

Put Me In The Story books capture the essence of each moment that their books are designed towards, presents powerful messages in creative ways, and truly engages children with their inclusion. I love the way Santa is Coming to My House has made my son look forward to Christmas, Santa and all the fun that comes with it. What’s even better is that my son is reminded to behave so Santa will come. Put Me In The Story is a great way to get kids excited and engaged in reading. They make a great gift and for this holiday season I’m sure that any young reader will be excited to get a book with them in it.
