Kenzie is now very vocal about what she wears on the daily. However, since it's not practical to wear a princess costume dress to school when having to play on the playground and sit on the asphalt, it was time to take a different direction while heading into the new school year. We love Target and pick up necessities (and toys) on a weekly basis. It's been a while since we checked out their apparel section so when Kenzie and I headed toward that department, guess who started getting giddy?
I was surprised at how diverse the girls clothing section was from basics to trendy to characters and more. Kenzie spotted the accessory stand right off the bat and grabbed a Frozen locket as a must-have for little girls. She then perused the character tee selection which was surprisingly vast and well organized. Kenzie pointed to her favorite characters and I love the cut of the tees she chose because they are long and can double as a tunic until she grows a bit more.
While her gaze fell upon beloved tutu dresses, I reminded her that since she is on the playground in the morning before the bell and during recess, on the asphalt at snack-time and outdoor benches for lunch - - we should look for some shorts and/or leggings. No love lost once the legging display was found. I was thoroughly impressed with the selection and Kenzie couldn't get enough of the fun prints. She picked out her favorites with a few more on her wishlist once the weather cools down. The quality is fantastic and you can't beat Target's prices.
Our morning routine will definitely go quicker with Kenzie's fondness for her new Target apparel finds. Character Tees + Fun Leggings are the ultimate combination for elementary school kids. No more arguing or tantrums while getting dressed. She's looking adorable and feeling comfortable for study and play. We will definitely be stocking up in larger sizes soon!
For a bonus and special days, Kenzie found a tutu skirt to pair with a cheeky kitty tee in the Toddler Girl's department (since she can still wear 5T). All in all, she is thrilled about her shopping trip and can't wait to add to her wardrobe for school.
Make sure to check out your Target Kids Apparel Department to make getting dressed for school easy peasy with their amazing selections! Target makes going back to school easy.
