Disclosure: I received the following for review from Lakeshore Learning. All opinions are my own.
I can't believe that summer is passing by in the blink of an eye. I need to start getting back to school stuff in order and sign Kenzie up for after school and deposit lunch money into her account. However, since there still is a few weeks left before the exiting 1st day, Kenzie is still full on learning with the Road to Reading Activity Center & Snap-Together Letter Blocks from Lakeshore Learning.
Kenzie soaks up knowledge like a sponge and her reading skills have vastly improved, especially with the addition of the Road to Reading Activity Center. It includes alphabet puzzles for children to learn letter sounds, then progress to using the picture cards and letter tiles to build simple words, then tracing the sight words with the tactile word cards and finally putting it together to read the book. Since Kenzie already has the basic skills down, we mainly practiced reading the books which are easy to follow along. There are 5 sets all together which means many hours of fun learning to read ahead for your 4-6 year old.
The Snap-Together Letter Blocks are a great companion to young readers as they can start spelling out their own simple words and snapping the letters together for hours of fun learning. This set includes 48 letters with both the uppercase and lowercase of the letter on each block. They are durable and will last. Even Mason gets in on the fun while learning the alphabet in this unique way - he's almost 3.
