As Mother's Day is approaching, it's sentimental to think back to when I got pregnant with the kiddos. I've mentioned before that although Hubs and I talked about kids, we didn't have a timeline in mind other than "everything being perfect" first. However, with an impromptu status update of my friend sharing her pregnancy while we were on a snowboarding trip in the Swiss Alps, we got to baby making! Who knew such random spontaneity would result in anxious waiting?
Fast forward a month and being a wee bit late, I rushed out to the store and grabbed a few Clearblue PLUS Pregnancy tests. I don't think the count was due to potential misreadings but more for own certainty before popping the surprise on Hubs. This is seriously the easiest pregnancy test to use and the results were definitely clear. I know some people wait to do the test with their significant other but I'm impatient and antsy. I mean - come on - it's a huge change about to possibly happen!
Guess who was giddy with excitement and nerves? I did the silent whoop even though no one was home to hear me. I couldn't stay still and it was a long night since Hubs was working late. I just left the sticks on the counter and went to bed. Hubs woke me up and was like wha???? It was a lot to take in but the once the initial
panic shock wore off, we were ecstatic.
The joy of seeing a positive pregnancy test is amazing no matter the number. It took a couple more tries for Mason but wow did we still have the bubbles of excitement when seeing that positive on the Clearblue pregnancy test. Life has truly changed in a good and hectic way since becoming a mother. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
