Pine Brothers Cough Drops to the Rescue + #Giveaway

Disclosure: This is a partnered post with Pine Bros. All opinions are my own.

When cold and flu season hits, Pine Brothers cough drops are there to make everything better. I say this mostly for my kids. My husband and I can handle the discomfort of a sore throat, but we all know how cranky kids can get when they have a sore throat. That’s why I keep Pine Brothers cough drops on hand at all times.

Pine Brothers Cough Drops are my Best Friend

Let’s be honest. Winter sucks. Sure, you can go sledding or build a snowman or just make snow angels, but after the fun comes the inevitable hacking. It never fails. Kids have sensitive little bodies. Remember how scalding hot a warm shower felt when we were kids or how a cut felt like burning agony? That’s because our skin was more sensitive. Well, just like a child’s skin is sensitive, so is everything else. That’s why I always keep a supply of Pine Brothers cough drops on hand throughout the winter months.

My kids are little troopers, but a sore throat is something that they just can’t conquer. I get it. It hurts to cough. It hurts to talk. It hurts to swallow. I just plain hurts! The absolute second I hear a cough or one of my kids says, “Mommy, my throat hurts,” I go for my purse like a man dying of thirst in the desert goes for a bottle of water and throw a Pine Brothers cough drop at them. It’s not quite that spectacularly dramatic, but it feels that way!

Why I love Pine Brothers Cough Drops

I love these cough drops, and their effectiveness is actually only one of their positive aspects. Pine Brothers cough drops were first made around 1870, and their recipe hasn’t changed much since then. I like that. That was back in the day when we had not discovered things like artificial sweeteners and other weird additives. Pine Brothers cough drops are made with plant glycerin and gum acacia. These are both completely natural and completely safe ingredients for kids. That means I can give these to the kids without worrying about putting anything “off” into their little bodies. They even list their ingredients right on their website. Check it out.

Another great thing about Pine Brothers cough drops is that I can get my kids to take them. They have flavors that almost any kid will enjoy. They have four flavors: Natural Honey, Wild Cherry, Licorice, and Lemon Citrus. So far, the kids have enjoyed all of their flavors except for Licorice. That’s okay. I don’t know many kids who like that one. ;)

Put Sore Throats in Their Place with Pine Brothers Cough Drops

I love Pine Brothers cough drops, because they work. That’s the plain and simple truth of it. When my kids get a sore throat, I bust out a cough drop, and the problem is solved immediately. I love that, because there’s nothing quite as miserable as a kid with a sore throat. Visit their website, and read more about Pine Brothers cough drops, their story, and their ingredients. It’s a great site, and it gives you all the information you’ll need to decide if they’re right for you.

  1. I want to try them becaus I love that they have black licorice as a flavor, that kind isn't the greatest tasting, but truly works.
