Handmade Valentine's Pom Pom Bouquet #FunCraftsWithMom

Kenzie received a pom pom pals craft box from a friend for Christmas which was loads of fun for her. So with our pom pom craze in mind, I thought it would be fun to make pom pom flowers for Valentine's Day. Kenzie randomly picks things up around the house to make into gifts or bouquets so why not a pom pom bouquet? It's a gift that lasts and lasts!

Materials:
  • scissors
  • assorted ribbon and twine
  • assorted color yarn
  • twigs
  • hot glue gun

Directions:

1. Wrap yarn around three fingers between 50-75 times. Use four fingers for a larger one, and the more time you wrap the yarn, the more plush your pom will be.

2.  Cut yarn from spool.

3.  Cut a piece of twine that’s approximately 8 inches long. Wrap around middle of the yarn and tie tightly to create a bow-tie style shape.

4.  Carefully slide wrapped yarn off your fingers.

5. Use scissors to cut all loops.

6. Fluff pom to create a ball shape and conceal tie.

7. Use hot glue gun to attach flower pom to top of twig.

8. Cut ribbon and twine and tie stems together. Gift to a special someone!

  4. Could she be any cuter? I don't think so! Love this craft. But I know my niece and she won't want to give these away as flowers, she is going to want to make them bigger and play with them as pom poms. Either way, very cute project!
