Disclosure: I received the 6V BATTERY POWERED FIRE TRUCK from Radio Flyer for review. All opinions are my own.
Mason loves firetrucks. There is a fire station a block from our house and I always drive by it on the way home after picking him and Kenzie up after work. They enjoy walking/strolling past the station on weekends and grabbing a hat and coloring book. For this 2 year old, the ultimate surprise came when he saw the Radio Flyer Fire Truck!
It was fairly easy to assemble (because the decals are already affixed and only a handful of screws were needed) and already charged for riding immediately. He kept on saying "Mason Truck" while I was putting it together and couldn't wait to get on. What's nice is that there are two seats so Kenzie can hop on right behind him when she doesn't want to be left behind. The 86 pound max weight is fantastic because both my kids total about 61 pounds right now. They will be enjoying the truck for some time.
Mason really loves the sounds on the steering wheel such as alarm, dispatch, sirens and horns. I showed him how to press the push button for the truck to move forward and his big ole' thumb became a pro even so as he bumped into walls and chairs. He needs to work on his steering/turning around the house. The underneath storage is a fantastic. Mason can stash his small toys and/or snacks on his way to rescue his friends.
We'll need to take it outside once this unforeseen rainy weather passes and test out the rugged tires on a trip to the fire station. Because the max speed is under 2.0 MPH, I don't have to worry about Mason tumbling off and hurting himself or running over his big sister. He will definitely go on many adventures with his new Fire Truck!
