The weather is slowly cooling down where I live and I assume in other parts of the country that people are pulling out their boots. I am seriously jealous. However, along with the fabulous fashion comes the cold and dry air that irritates skin.
I can immediate tell when the weather has changed by how tight my skin feels or when I see the kids start itching even after their bath. I try to look for natural ingredients in products I use, especially after having kids. It's odd how we change our habits to the better for our children. Burt's Bee's line of natural products are perfect as we head into the Winter season.
You can actually pronounce the goodness that goes into their product line: acai berry, almond, aloe, beeswax, honey, lemon and more. One product that has remained tried and true since I discovered it so many years ago is the Burt's Bee's Lip Balm. I have always been a fan of the Original Beeswax Lip Balm. Beeswax conditions skin, while antioxidant Vitamin E moisturizes. A final hint of Peppermint Oil provides that one-of-a-kind refreshing tingle. A tube is kept in every bag and car and at work. It is kid friendly and keeps our lips supple and moisturized through the winter.
Our hands get really dry which in turn leads to peeling cuticles and frequent paper cuts (for me). This is not pleasant so the Burt's Bee's Honey & Grapeseed Hand Cream is a must have. It is luxuriously hydrating and made with Honey, Jojoba Oil and Rosemary Extract. I can inhale the scent all day long, even after washes. It is not as thick when applying as one would imagine for such a moisturizing cream. For our body, we use the Naturally Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion which is non-greasy and absorbs quickly to provide all day moisture.
