I love dips. They go hand in hand with snacking on game day. I've never knew it could be so quick easy to make a delicious dip at home until now. It is literally 4 ingredients that create a creamy onion dip with a kick. The result is the perfect companion to your favorite snacks that give you the fuel to cheer on your team on game day.

I remember the excitement of going to college football games and it was convenient because my dorm was right next to the stadium. Tailgating was essential and really got everyone into game day spirit. Fast forward many years and heading to games is a wee bit more difficult with two young children in tow. That's what we now "home gate" with our friends. Good food, good company and good spirit makes for a good day. Everyone loves munching on snacks throughout the game and guess who whipped up a Tabasco creamy onion dip?

Recipe:

  • 1 cup Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise
  • Add in 2 Tbsp. TABASCO Original Pepper Sauce
  • Stir in 1 envelope Lipton Recipes Secrets Onion Soup Mix
  • Blend 1 cup sour cream
  • Chill if desired. Serve with your favorite dippers.
  • I've never thought about using Tabasco in a dip...only as a condiment. The subtle kick it gives the dip is amazing. It literally took me minutes to whip up the dip. I think I'll try the Tabasco Chipotle Pepper Sauce next time. Hubs really enjoyed it and I can't wait to make it again next weekend for our friends.

Head to an in-store demo at your local Walmart from October 23-26, 2014 to see the creamy chipotle onion dip and try before you buy. Find a list of participating stores here

Do you make your own dip when home gating? Have you tried using Hellman's and Tabasco together as ingredients?

    6. I'm thinking this would be REALLY good as a baked potato topping. Or maybe even as a soup topping. Hmmm......or maybe just straight off the spoon.
