I love a good drama and lately it doesn't seem like there's a good one to watch in real time. Hubs and I have just been catching up on old series on Netflix. However, I just found out about a new drama from Universal Cable Productions - Satisfaction - that airs on the USA Network on Thursdays at 10/9c and was excited to tell Hubs about it so we can watch it together!

This show explores modern marriage at its midpoint. It's interesting because I work in the family law field and so many marriages end because of various reasons whether they are short or of long duration. Neil Turman and his wife Grace have been married for 18 years and the series focuses on their choices based upon the all important question: “What do you do when having it all is not enough?”

The couple seemingly has achieved the American Dream - a sleek  modern home, a beautiful 16-year-old daughter, Anika, but find themselves looking for something more. The series asks the question “would you risk your marriage to save it?” There are a some awesome recurring guest stars in the first season that you don't want to miss!

I have been watching the past episodes and am sucked in. It's refreshing to see a show where the real life issues and questions being addressed are those applicable to our lives. Grab some snacks and your spouse and tune in on Thursdays on the USA Network (10-11 p.m. ET). The season finale is on September 18, 2014 so make sure to catch up on the past Satisfaction episodes before then!

Have you watched Satisfaction? What do you think?

  1. Is this the show that promotes sleeping with others outside your marriage? Man alive. You bloggers will promote anything for a buck, won't you.

    1. Jayne, you are rude. And I'm guessing, perfect?

Regardless of the message of this tv show, there are many tv shows we find ourselves watching that we don't necessarily agree with in our hearts. For example, I watch Bad Girls Club, Toddler and Tiaras, Sixteen and Pregnant, Secret Life of an American Teenager, Ghost Adventures and Son's of Anarchy. None of those shows I agree with in my heart. I would never agree with the young girls going off to drink and fight for a long period of time, toddlers being used the way they are in that show. Teen pregnancy is being glorified, which is disgusting. My religion is against 'liking' demon activity, and the gang violence in Son's of Anarchy is horrible! But I watch them. There are many people who watch these shows who would like updates or reminders on them. It doesn't mean we agree with the message.

Get off your high horse Jayne and relax. If you don't like the post, you can skip it.

    2. Oh, Sister Wives. That's another one I watch. TOTALLY against what I believe. But I still watch. And hey, if you were posting an update or a preview of a new one coming on, I'd want to read it!

    3. I like shows like this because they're outside the realm of my everyday life, which is exactly what I want when I watch TV. (Lame slam on bloggers, by the way. I actually think it's celebrities who have the market cornered on promoting anything for a buck.)

  2. I hadn't heard of this show. Now I am going to go set it to record... sounds interesting

  3. Sorry about that first comment :( I also watch Boardwalk Empire and it's not like I condone mobsters, lol. To be fair though, I was originally turned off by the topic of this show, however, I was also sucked in by the likable characters and scintillating taboos. It's fun escapism.

  4. I haven't seen this show before. But it sounds interesting. There are several shows that I like on USA Network. They have sucked me in also. So I will have to check this out. Thanks for the review.

  5. Looks like a good show. I don't know if I should watch though because every show I like gets canceled I'm really bad luck!

  6. I've never heard of this show before but it sounds like something I'd enjoy!
