I've been slightly obsessed with sparkling water ever since I was pregnant with Kenzie and dropped my intake of regular soda, coffee, etc. It's so refreshing and Kenzie always asks for some "sparkle water" when she sees my cup - - as if it were magical. Since it's summer, the best way for the kids to cool off and stay hydrated while playing is a popsicle treat so I decided to add a little sparkle to a favorite with Canada Dry Sparkling Water from Walmart.
The kids love strawberries which are packed full of juicy flavor and vitamins. Kenzie also recently discovered Pop Rocks (no thanks to Hubs' constant supply of candy in his pockets) and is enamored and delighted with the fantastic sensation in her mouth. So I paired everything together to create a sparkling treat! Plus, I just got a new popsicle mold that I wanted to try out.
PRINT RECIPE
Ingredients
- 2 lbs of fresh, ripe strawberries, washed and hulled
- 4 packages of Strawberry Pop Rocks
- 1 cup Canada Dry Lemon Lime Sparkling Seltzer Water
- Cut the the strawberries into halves or quarters. Place in blender with sparkling water and puree.
- Pour puree into the popsicle molds, cover and insert the popsicle sticks.
- Place in the freezer for about 3-4 hours or until fully frozen.
- Remove from molds* and dip the tips of each popsicle into pop rocks.
- Enjoy!
*To make it easier to remove them you can dip the bottom of the mold in lukewarm water for about 10-20 seconds.
