Heartburn. I never knew about it until I met Hubs and watched him pop pills on an almost daily basis. He is one of the 25 million+ adults who experience heartburn daily which can be triggered by food, alcohol, caffeine, smoking, stress and weight. While alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the past, I think caffeine and food selections are his current culprits.

Hubs uses Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) which I learned is not for immediate heartburn relief but rather takes 1-4 days to become fully effective and require him to take it on a daily basis in a 14-day regiment. No wonder he has such a large stash at home and in his car! Since we tend to eat heavily spiced foods quite often and his daily caloric intake is well beyond the 2,500 average, I bet he needs relief fast.

Since it is unlikely that we will be changing our diet anytime soon as we enjoy the foods we eat, he was ready to try PEPCID® COMPLETE® which conveniently is a chewable and starts working in seconds and lasts all day or night.

Only one tablet is needed to control heartburn for the entire day or night! PEPCID® COMPLETE® comes in mint and berry flavors for adults and children 12 years and older. This is a dual action product that combines an antacid with an acid reducer. This means that it literally takes seconds before you feel relief. No more having to suffer and wait for the relief to kick in.

  7. Ugh, I am with Michelle, when I was pregnant I would get the worst heartburn. I am unsure why and what causes it... but it was horrible. Now that I am done having babies I have only gotten it a handful of times and pepsid has always helped
