being MVP: KidKraft Monster Manor Dollhouse

KidKraft Monster Manor Dollhouse

Disclosure: I received the Monster Manor Dollhouse for review from Kidkraft. All opinions are my own.

Kenzie enjoys playing with dolls of all shapes and sizes. So I knew she would be overjoyed to have a dollhouse, especially one that was just her size. The KidKraft Monster Manor Dollhouse arrived packaged quite well with each piece diligently labeled for ease of assembly. I started putting it together after work but with two kids hovering over me and moving parts around, it was a bit difficult. Let's just say that after Mason tried sitting on a backboard before it was properly nailed down and ended up busting the corner, I halted assembly until the kids were sleeping.

This funky dollhouse is detailed and can be played with for hours on end. The elevator is a highlight in that you can transport your doll to the second floor before she/he can take the stairs to the third floor. Kenzie immediately noticed that it's just like our house with the three floors. Both kids had a grand time trying to sit on the tiny doll furniture (chairs, bed, sofa, toilet, etc.) until I started swooshing them off before any breakage occurred

The upper floor also have a fun balcony off the bedroom where your doll can chill out. The little chandelier is a nice touch. Kenzie sat her dolls on the couch and dining chairs but it was a bit awkward as the legs did not fold. We'll have to find her some that have movable body parts. Mason loves to play with the dollhouse as well and I'm glad that it is sturdy to withstand his roughness

It's nice watching Kenzie make up stories and play with her dolls in their new wooden dollhouse. She puts them to bed before heading upstairs to her own bedroom at night. In the morning before school, she wanders over to wake them up for the day.

KidKraft has a wonderful selection of dollhouses so you can definitely find one to fit your child's personality or room decor. Imaginary play is so crucial in a child's development and these beautiful and well made dollhouses encourage such play.
