Ah the dreaded task of potty training a child is so tedious and daunting that one really never knows when or how to start. I must admit that I was frustrated when potty training Kenzie because I would hear of friends whose children already mastered the skill at 1 or younger. Even my mom tried convincing me that my brother and I were potty trained by that age. Kenzie was in Pampers Easy Ups until she woke up dry at night for 6 months and I am so excited to get Mason excited about using the potty while using Pampers Easy Ups as well.

The neat thing about Pampers Easy Ups is that they have an underwear-like look and feel which Kenzie was fascinated with. The graphics were always fun and she felt like a big girl. Since Mason likes to do everything Kenzie does and has been showing signs of wanting to use the toilet and wear underwear, it was perfect timing for potty training. I believe that timing is crucial. Your child will let you know when he or she is ready to take the next step. He has been spot on when he says "poo poo" while pointing to his diaper because sure enough 5 minutes later, it comes. The Pampers Easy Ups make it easy to lead your child to the toilet and be a big kid!

I didn't really use the bribing technique on Kenzie but instead gave her tons of praise like jumping up and down and clapping with glee. Mason gets lots of praise for just pointing or grabbing his diaper already so I think this practice will be great in the long run for training purposes. I am also not a fan of letting them go wild without any sort of protection around the house because let's just say it was not too successful with Kenzie and while we do have wood floors and tile, it's still not fun to clean up the mess. Simply Pampers Easy Ups are a great solution especially since potty training for Mason is starting in the warmer weather than Kenzie (winter months).

The Pampers Easy Ups are fantastic for nighttime potty training because even if your child loves to drink big gulps of water right at bedtime, these diapers have an absorbent core that holds 25% more than the other leading training pant which means fewer leaks! I remember having to take Kenzie to the restroom several times at night during the process and the Easy Ups made it quick and non-disruptive to her sleep. Mason isn't quite a deep sleeper like her so I anticipate having to wake up many more times but with Pampers Easy Ups, I am ready to tackle this task and everyday is just a step closer to reaching the final goal!

  2. I love that you don't have to worry about leakage with their diapers and my training tip is to set an alarm to remind you to put baby on potty ab out every 45 minutes

  3. My best potty training tip is to have a reward system set up and ready to use. Kids love praise and it's important to make it a positive experience for them.

  12. I like that Pampers are leak-proof. My best advice has to do with timing. I think when a toddler is ready to be toilet-trained, you'll know. Jump at the opportunity, and everything should work out smoothly. If I win, this prize will go to my oldest daughter who will soon be potty-training her second son ;)

  16. I love how soft they are! Some diapers can be so rough can't imagine them being comfortable on little bums.
What worked best for my first daughter was we let her go diaperless while at home & put her on the potty every hour. That seemed to work well for us

  17. I love how absorbent they are :) Some diapers leak quite a bit and I haven't had that issue with these. My best potty training tip is to offer a sticker chart my daughter loved hers.

  19. When potty training, the potty must be available as a "friend." It must be a repetitive thing for children, they must spend a lot of time in a day there in order to understand why they are there. I preferably love Pamper's because Huggies gave my DD a huge rash!
