being MVP: Taproot Farms + #Giveaway

Taproot Farms + #Giveaway

I received the following for review from Taproot Farms. All opinions are my own.

I have always wondered how simple yet amazing life would be if I lived on a farm. The air would be pure and the health benefits extraordinary. Although this will most likely never be my reality, I found a company whose small business thrives on such a farm in Alaska. Taproot Farms offers handcrafted soaps, lip balms, body butters, essential oils and more. From the first look at the product packaging to the delightful awaiting to be used, this is quality stuff.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Goat Milk Soap ($6.50). Loaded with beneficial minerals, vitamins, and proteins, our goat milk soap nourishes and moisturizes even the driest skin, while gently cleansing with a luxuriously creamy and ultra-moisturizing lather. This soap lathers up beautifully in a loofah or even just by itself. My skin feels moisturized yet clean and the delicate aroma is just relaxing. I took a bar when I went to visit my mother in FL and left it there for her use - brownie points!

My lips have been super dry recently and since I'm a lip balm girl, the Buttercream Lip Balm ($3.50) has been my constant companion. Our skillful blend of jojoba oil, avocado oil, and natural beeswax will keep your lips looking and feeling healthy and smooth. It's a treat to use this on a daily basis and my lips have been happy since. Mason keeps on wanting me to put it on his lips but then proceeds to stick out his little tongue - probably trying to taste the delectable vanilla ice cream/cheesecake scent.

I've recently been into fragrance free moisturizers but when I opened the jar of the Creme Brulee Shea Butter ($10), I couldn't resist. This body butter is just rich in fragrance and unique in texture. It feels raw and course to the touch yet when you start rubbing it into your dry skin, it's like heaven. My skin literally glowed and was very moisturized. Love the compact size because it makes it travel friendly.

I've heard rave reviews about essential oils so I was excited to try it. The Eucalyptus essential oil ($7) has a really strong scent when you open the bottle. Just a slight whiff of this and it clears your head. With the dry air and high heat at times, the kids have been congested off and on with some sneezing in between. I had them breathe this in and they were calmed right before bedtime. I think this will now become part of our nightly ritual.

Last but not least the Moroccan Argan Oil ($12).

Referred to as “liquid gold” by Moroccan natives, this rare oil truly does it all! From rejuvenating wrinkled skin to treating brittle, dry, and lackluster hair and nails, our 100% Moroccan Argan oil is the most luxurious and versatile oil on the market.

Rich in Omega 9 and 6 fatty acids, this oil can be used to help repair and tone skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, soften and moisturize hair, and restore weak or damaged nails. Our pure Argan oil is also loaded with the powerful antioxidant and healing properties of Vitamins E, A, and C. This product is very easily absorbed into the skin and works for all skin and hair types.
Just a few drops at night on my face and it is now my go to moisturizer. My face is rejuvenated while I sleep as the oil works its magic. It is a simple oil that you can use to moisturize your body, relieve dry hair and much more. A little really goes a long way.

  21. I've recently been trying to eat more naturally, using natural products and even making some of my own. As soon as I heard of Taproot Farms I squealed with glee! I want to try EVERYTHING haha. From their perfumes, to cherry lip balm, soap and essential oils. I'd buy everything! Well not everything, but I really want to.

The struggle.. especially as a struggling college student haha. Nevertheless, I will definitely try out their products.
