Disclosure: I received a toddler sleeping bag for review from BabySleepingBags.com. All opinions are my own.
I am a huge fan of sleeping bags for tots who do not yet use blankets or like to kick off blankets. While mine now use blankets (at times) at nighttime, they sometimes end up on top of the blankets or push them off onto the floor. So while we keep the temperature at a steady 72 degrees in our home, Kenzie still gets cold. She must be like Hubs.
The perfect solution for her is the Merino Kids Toddler Sleep Sack ($119.99) from Babysleepbags.com. This is made from superfine Woolmark-certified merino and the GOTS-certified organic combed cotton outer layer makes it durable for years of use. The toddler size is intended for children 2-4 years old so once Kenzie outgrows it, Mason can use it. I love that it's easily washable by tossing into the machine. It is naturally fire-resistant so you do not have to worry about it being flammable.
Merino wool has a natural ability to regular body temperature so your child will not overheat even when you put them in pjs underneath. It unzips from the bottom for ease of diaper changes or nighttime trips to the bathroom (in Kenzie's case). One would think that wool is itchy to the feel but this is amazingly soft and does not irritate Kenzie's sensitive skin at all. She is toasty warm and comfortable at night when it is a bit chillier and I don't have to worry about her now that she is wearing a secure sleeping bag.
In addition to a fabulous selection of stylish sleeping bags for infants/toddlers, Babysleepbags.com also offers swaddles, onesies, blankets, leggings and more. The quality is amazing and although the price may seem steep, it is well worth it in the long run.
