Disclosure: I received the Wheat & Gluten-Free Dough from Lakeshore Learning for review. All opinions are my own.
I know many of my readers have been enjoying the snow and cold this season while I'm basking in 80-90 degree weather. However, since it is usually dark when I get home from work, the kids cannot go outside to play like they want. So while Hubs prepares dinner I have to entertain them and Lakeshore Learning has some awesome products to do so.
Kenzie loves playing with dough but I am not so fond of it. However, when I opened one of the Wheat & Gluten-Free Dough buckets, I changed my mind. The assortment ($54.99) includes 6 3lb buckets full of non-toxic dough that is wheat & gluten-free. You can also buy each color separately for $9.99 each. This dough has a pleasant smell that Kenzie kept inhaling like it was a cupcake. Each bucket contains individually wrapped pieces of dough about the size of a tiny can. This dough is super pliable and can be molded with ease.
The extra fun comes when using the Dough Cutters ($19.99). This bucket is jam packed with 63 cutters to keep your child(ren) entertained for a long time. There are numbers, letters, shapes and animals. Kenzie had a blast using these in addition to creating her own sandwiches. Mason joined in on the fun by emptying and refilling the bucket as well as toting around dough everywhere. There is dough in almost every room of the house. I think it may be the gluten-free formula that keeps it pliable and soft even when left out overnight. Just a quick mash up and it is pliable and ready for cutting again.
The possibilities are endless and definitely keeps the kids entertained every night. It's also nice to purchase the large buckets of dough because your child(ren) can share with their friends!
