being MVP: DIY Gold Glitter Lace Crown Headband {Tutorial}

DIY Gold Glitter Lace Crown Headband {Tutorial}

My doting princess has been infatuated with wearing crowns and tiaras so since I have been seeing little lace crowns as baby photo props on pinterest, I decided to create one just for Kenzie with a headband.

Supplies

Roll of Lace about 2 inch high
Gold Glitter Spray Paint
Gold Spray Paint
Skinny gold headband
Saran Wrap / Wax paper
Fabric Stiffener
Hot Glue Gun / Crazy Glue

Instructions

Cut lace to desired size. I think mine were about 10 inches long. Pour some Martha Stewart Fabric Stiffener onto a plate and dip the lace in it. After fully coated, wrap around some sort of bottle or cup  you have (that is covered in saran wrap or wax paper) to form the lace.

Let it dry for several hours or overnight. Carefully release crown from the bottle and proceed to spray paint with the gold. You can use any color spray paint but gold is so trendy right now! Let that dry and then spray with the glitter spray paint. I love this stuff and need more projects to glitter up! Use a bit of hot glue or crazy glue to adhere crown to headband and let dry. Voila - pretty headband for your little princess.
