Remember when you were in grade school and you made construction paper rings that looped to create a garland? Well, just the other day, Kenzie brought a small one home from preschool and I was inspired to create a fun ornament using the same concept but with a little more flair with our fantastic Crayola products.
Crayola Construction paper
Crayola Washable Markers
Crayola Glitter Glue
Crayola Model Magic
Cut the construction paper into long strips about 1/2 inch wide. You will want 2 varying lengths for the body and head. Have your child decorate with markers. Good thing these are washable because Mason got a hold of some and started marking up his face! Make several loops to create a sphere and glue the ends together with glitter glue (so much fun!)
Tie a piece of twine through the small sphere and knot. Cover the small sphere head with Crayola Model Magic white. I love this stuff because it is light and super pliable. Kenzie spent about 2 hours playing with this and has asked for more colors! After covering the entire sphere with the white color, form a black hat and pointy nose as well as eyes. Stack the smaller sphere on top of the larger and glue together. Squiggle the glitter glue on the strips of the body for some flair. Voila - snowman ornament ready to hang!
