BENDASTIX™: Bandz, Braceletz & Botz + Giveaway!

My cousin received several BENDASTIX™  kits for review with her daughter, Ashlynn, and here are her thoughts.

My daughter received three different kits from BENDASTIX.  BENDASTIX are fun, flexible bands that can be molded into different shapes to make bracelets and other items.  The first kit she received was the Bandz.  The patterns of the BENDASTIX were super cute colorful.  The kit included an instruction sheet to show kids (and parents!) some techniques to help you get started creating your projects.  The cool thing is that BENDASTIX are reusable, so your child can make different things again and again.  My daughter was so excited to try putting BENDASTIX on her headband add a cute bow.  The kit includes different charms that kids can add to personalize their creations.  It comes with peace sign and heart shaped Connectorz to build your bracelets. The mini size stix were just the right size for making rings! Ashlynn loved taking them apart and redesigning her new ‘jewelry.’ I love products like this that encourage open ended play.

We also received the BENDASTIX Braceletz kit.  My daughter was thrilled to add on to her growing collection of BENDASTIX, giving her even more options to get creative with different combinations.  The Braceletz kit comes with extra long, medium, and wide stix, and even a loopy stix, as well as several different Connectorz and charms.  The charms looked adorable accesorizing Ashlynn’s different outfits while she did a little fashion show for me. This kit also comes with a 20” rainbow lace.  These bracelets remind me of ‘slap bracelets’ from when I was a kid because of their wraparound style, but BENDASTIX don’t carry the problem of children hurting themselves while using them. BENDASTIX are soft, squishy, and easily manipulated.  I love how the different kits come with an extra BENDASTIX which is used as the handle of the box.

My daughter’s favorite was the BENDASTIX Botz kit.  The robots are so cute because you can continually switch their glasses, or their arms, to redesign your creature.  The base is a ‘buddy thingamajig’ for the body, and kids can add on to it by wrapping the BENDASTIX around its legs, or bending stix to attach them to the creature’s face.  Ashlynn had so much fun making ‘aliens’ with crazy antennae. I’m a big fan of activities like this that facilitate imaginative play.  This kit also comes with 56 Bendastickerz that my daughter can use to decorate her Botz.

These kits can be mixed and matched, so my daughter can combine these with bandz and stix from other kits.  BENDASTIX are designed for children ages 6 and up.  My daughter and her friends had a great time playing with these during their playdate!
