Mason is growing up so quickly and now is fully enjoying meaningful playtime. He knows what his favorite toys are and will push and pull with Kenzie to get what he wants. When Cody the Smart Cub arrived for review from VTech, Kenzie tried to claim it as her own. Mason's eyes lit up when she pressed Cody's paws (while he was still in the box).
I immediately had to take Cody out of the box and let Mason play. Cody is a soft plush that is interactive with your tot. Just a simple touch or hug initiates a response from Cody. I love the light up heart that beats as well as the giggles that burst out when you tickle his toes. Mason is a pro at high five so he's got that down pat with his new buddy. This VTech toy is recommended from 6 - 36 months and I can definitely see how different ages can interact with it. Kenzie actually understands Cody's sayings and messages when pressing the appropriate button. Mason will soon begin to recognize through repetition as well as learn body parts and words. It's amazing watching little brains soak in everything!
The wonderful element of being able to personalize plush Cody comes through VTech's Learning Lodge™ using the included USB cable. You can input your child's name, birthday, favorite stories, melodies and other messages. Just as I did with Kenzie's VTech products when she was one, I have personalized Cody for Mason. There is the option to download up to 30 unique melodies and lullabies, over 20 stories featuring your tot's name and other fun messages.
Kenzie was singing a song the other day and when I asked her where she learned it, she went straight to Cody and pressed his paw and out came the same song! Now at 3 years old, she actually gets excited when she receives an email from mama or recognizes her favorite things. I can't wait for Mason to fully enjoy and familiarize himself with the music and messages. Until then, he can push and hug and giggle away with Cody The Smart Cub™, his new best friend.
