Get Your Hoop On with Hoopersize & Giveaway!

My cousin reviewed the following and here are her thoughts.

My daughter received Hoopersize a few days ago.  This fun exercise program in a box includes one hula hoop, two DVDs, and a CD with music featured in the DVDs.  The hula hoop needed to be put together, which was a very simple and quick process.  I was impressed with the quality and durability of the hula hoop.  My daughter had a hula hoop in the past which broke.  The hula hoop is 38” in diameter and weighs one pound.  It is slightly bigger and heavier than your average hula hoop, which is designed to make it easier for your child to master the tricks.  ProHoops are thicker in diameter, which therefore accelerates calorie burning to up to 100 calories per ten minutes.

My daughter was a little skeptical when Hoopersize first arrived; she was feeling discouraged and kept saying that she couldn't do it.  But as soon as she watched the first DVD, her attitude completely changed.  Dr. Hoopenstein is so silly and charismatic that my daughter suddenly felt motivated.  We started off with the ‘What Up Warm Up’ which doesn't even include the hula hoop. The music and dancing in the videos was very captivating and entertaining to my daughter.  She loves watching the videos over and over and following along with the dancers’ moves. The first DVD includes a step by step tutorial that walks your child through the basics of hula hooping, which really helped my daughter to gain some confidence with it.  Her favorite video is ‘In the Kitchen with Dr. Hoopenstein’ which is a goofy video about how to make a healthy smoothie.  It has absolutely nothing to do with the hula hooping, but it generally encourages healthy eating and exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle.

This system was founded by Kellee McQuinn (Miss Kellee) in 2002 and is available through kidtribe.com.  Hoopersize is designed for ages 6 up to adult.  Since my daughter started kindergarten this year, I have been concerned with the lack of physical activity the children get during the school day.  There is no PE like I was used to from my own childhood.  Now, when she gets home from school, she cannot wait to grab her hula hoop and pop in a DVD.  This is really something that my daughter can grow with that she’s not going to get too old for in a year or two.  This fun exercise program would be perfect to use in a school setting with a large group of children. KidTribe is an award winning fitness program that has been used at many schools around the globe.
