Tidy Books: Children's Bookcase & Giveaway!

I have instilled in my little Kenzie a love of books and she has amassed quite a collection in 3 years. However, since her bookcase was technically a hand me down from me and the books toppled over when she took one out, we were excited to receive the Tidy Books bookcase for review. Since Hubs had a business meeting with friends at our home, I decided to take the kiddos upstairs to put together Kenzie's new children's bookcase. 

I was surprised at how slim this bookcase was and although it did take a bit of time to assemble because both kiddos tried to help, we were ready to pack in the books in no time. You just use the included allen wrench and follow the simple instructions. I do note that there are tons of screws so make sure to put them out of reach of the kiddos when you are putting together (I put them on top of the dresser and then took several at a time in my hand). Kenzie enjoyed helping and singing the alphabet song while pointing out the letters. 

When I bracketed the Tidy Books bookcase against the wall and informed Kenzie that she could start loading her books, she did a happy dance. This bookcase can hold 85 books of all shapes and sizes. I like that the front panels keep the books in place yet allow for Kenzie to see which book she wants to choose. This is a better system that our previous because she can actually see what book to read by its cover. I love the large capacity yet slimline design. This opens up her room a bit and allows a creation of a true reading nook. 

The is a quality bookcase, bar none. It is made with wood from sustainable sources and finished off with eco-friendly water based lacquer. The colorful lettering is appealing to young children and the clean design can fit into any room decor. The size (45.3" (h) x  30.3" (w) x 2.8" (d)) is great for little ones as they access their favorites in a jiffy. Mason can also easily grab his favorite book!

I always encourage learning and reading is fundamental in our household. On my mother's recent visit she read many books with Kenzie and told me to help her start reading on her own STAT! Talk about tiger mom syndrome.....I bet she will ask me if Mason knows how to read in a year.
