I love tea. I drink it everyday. Tiesta Tea sent some samples for review and guess who is back to being a loose leaf tea addict - ME! I have been a fan of loose leaf tea ever since my MIL gave me some when I first got married. It does take a bit more time and effort than just popping a cup in the machine at work. However, the flavor and taste is beyond amazing and enjoyable. When I first received the box of samples, the awesome smells were seeping out of the box. Upon opening, I was delighted and couldn't wait to try my first cup.
I brought my selections to work and used the T-Sacs to make my tea. The Tiesta Tea T-Sacs are disposable tea bags that make brewing a cup of loose leaf tea super easy. Just take the recommended amount of loose leaf tea and place in the bag. Pour hot water (175-208 degrees for my selections) over the bag and allow to steep for the amount of time stated on your selected tea pouch/can. Note that you can make hot or iced tea with the loose leaf tea and measurement and steep duration is stated for each so you get it perfect each time.
The flavors were bold yet not too strong. I thoroughly enjoyed each cup and noticed that you can even make a second cup with the tea bag. I sometimes add a bit of honey to my tea but it is not necessary if you like your tea plain. I like that there are real bits of fruit and flowers that you can see.
My favorite is the Maui Mango which is light yet full of flavor. I can sniff the tea all day long! I have tried the teas with hot water but since the weather is becoming hot, I am going to try the iced version soon. Tiesta Tea has many varieties of teas to fit any palate and since there are 3 sizes to choose from (pouch, tin and bulk bag), you can try many flavors without breaking your budget.
