being MVP: The Full Build-A-Bear Experience with Smurfs & Giveaway!

The Full Build-A-Bear Experience with Smurfs & Giveaway!

Kenzie was amped to go to the Build-A-Bear Workshop and the experience was one of the highlights of her life.  Well, once she woke up completely from her nap.  When we entered the store at Downtown Disney, it was super busy.  This is the store Hubs and I first went into 9 years ago on one of our first dates!

I immediately spotted the greeter, Maria, and she knew we were there for review.  She directed us to the Smurfs area and I had Kenzie and Mason make their selection: Smurfette and Hackus and we were off to stand in line for stuffing.

The in-store Build-A-Bear Workshop process is really interactive and fun for kids.  Hubs and I commented on how cheerful and helpful the employees were - I mean, how many places have people that genuinely like to see their customers happy and want to give them the best experience ever?  After a short wait, Kenzie was able to stuff the Smurfs theme song into the hands of Smurfette and Hackus.  This is a really cool feature because when you squeeze the hand - the Smurfs theme song plays!  I'm sure you can put it in the foot as well but both my kiddos went with the left hand.

After the neat stuffing machine, powered by Kenzie's foot, it was time to choose hearts.  There was a whole routine and after stuffing a handful of hearts (yes they both grabbed handfuls), it was time for the grooming station.  Kenzie was in full force here and had the grandest time in brushing out Smurfette and Hackus.  Mason even wanted to join in on the fun and almost jumped out of my arms!

We then chose outfits from the Smurfs section and accessorized to the nines at the Dressing Room.  Kenzie loved the mini closet and put all the hangers in there!  We then went to checkout and the cashier, Johnny, asked Kenzie if she wanted bows.  She looked at his hesitantly and I asked what color she wanted.  Johnny said little gals wanted all the colors so he put an entire handful of bows into her Build-A-Bear box!  She even received a green ribbon (which is her favorite color) and we were set to go.

Smurfette has been getting the star treatment with Kenzie.  Her hair is brushed out and is taken on walks in the doll stroller.  Smurfette receives tons of hugs and kisses as well as is lulled to sleep in Kenzie's baby carrier.  This is one pampered plush.  I love Build-A-Bear because the outfits can be interchangeable with any of the plush.  Kenzie actually enjoys taking the outfits off and I have to redress them.

Buy It:  You can purchase Smurfette and Hackus for $23 each + clothing and accessories are extra.

Make sure to connect with Build-A-Bear Workshop on Facebook and Twitter!
