I love giving and receiving gifts....especially if it involves food. That's why when the samples from The Coffeecake Connection arrived for review, I was excited to dig in immediately. The packaging is simple yet modern with the kraft box and tie.
Inside were an assortment of gourmet coffee cakes packaged individually and nestled within crinkled paper: Signature, Gluten Free Double Chocolate, Gluten Free Chocolate Chip, Triple Berry, Gluten Free Signature and Gluten Free Cinnamon.
After zapping my plate of goodies in the microwave for 25 seconds, I decided to dig into the Signature first because it was the largest in the box (Cake-A-Lette) and looked most appealing. It was moist and buttery with a delicious crumble on top. Although the Cake-A-Lette serving size is 2-4 people, I easily polished it off myself with one bite to Hubs. The Triple Berry in Mini Cake-A-Lette size was next and while it was moist, I'm not really a berry in cake person so I handed it off to Hubs.
The itty bitty samples were perfect for a tasting. My favorites were the chocolate chip and double chocolate chip. Even though I don't purposefully have a gluten free diet, I found these enjoyable and didn't miss the gluten at all!
These delicious coffee cakes from The Coffee Cake Connection can be frozen for up to 6 months without losing its fresh flavor. How perfect of a gift is that? You can send an entire box of goodies and your recipient can enjoy for months. There are even cake of the month options as well as corporate and event programs where they customize the colors with your event.
Buy It: You can purchase the Signature Cake-A-Lette for $6.95, Triple Berry Mini Cake-A-Lette for around $4 each ($7.95 for 2 pack) and Bitty Bites Combo Pack for $2.50.
