being MVP: BENDASTIX & Giveaway!

BENDASTIX & Giveaway!

My cousin reviewed the following and here are her thoughts:

My daughter received a BENDASTIX Big Box from Fibre Craft and it was her first time ever using BENDASTIX. They are very flexible, durable, and easy to mold into different shapes. The colors and patterns are very bright and fun. The kit came with a stage that can be used as a building surface for creations.  We waited until little brother was taking his nap so we wouldn’t have to worry about him disturbing any of the small pieces.

BENDASTIX is for ages 6+, but it specifically says not for children under 3.  The BENDASTIX kit came with an instruction booklet with step by step instructions for making some creations.  My daughter was able to make spyglasses for herself to wear.  She made an arm band bracelet for herself and another one for me. She had fun creating her own alien friends with materials with the most adorable names such as the Buddy Thingamajig and a Burst Thingamajig.

They also came with Bendastickerz that she could add to decorate.  It was great that she was able to be so creative and customize her creation however she liked.  She could add different eyes, mouths, sunglasses, even mustaches! The book also included many other project inspiration ideas, which seemed a bit more complicated that we had a bit more trouble attempting to recreate.  We made flowers together and then we made a dune buggy. She tried to make a cat and a microphone, but those ones were a little difficult.

BENDASTIX can even be used to accessorize. Being added to shoelaces or a headband can add a fun twist and change things up! BENDASTIX would make a great centers activity for a classroom teacher looking for small group activities.  We discovered that we can even go on YouTube and watch DIY BENDASTIX videos!

My daughter absolutely loves arts and crafts, but I find that so many other kits are limiting in terms of letting a child’s imagination take over.  And the best part is that BENDASTIX can be reused over and over again.  Living in Miami, I am always looking for fun indoor activities for my daughter since we have so many rainy days, and BENDASTIX is a perfect thing to keep handy in the closet!
