Guess who's a moving and a shaking? Mason is on the go at all times and seems to have a burst when we pretend to chase him. Mason received some awesome toys from Tiny Love to keep him busy.
I first introduced Mason to Follow Me Fred because he has been crawling non-stop. I turned him on and gave him a gentle push to go. A whimsical melody plays while Fred walks forward. He stops until your babe pushes him again to move. Kenzie took over the duty of starting up Fred again before Mason had a chance. Mason finally got the hang of it after a day but now he seems content in grabbing Fred's tail and thrashing him around to be his friend. He has even attempted
eating kissing Fred's nose.
This is a unique baby-activated electronic dog that encourages babies to crawl. I love that you have the option of having Fred move without the music as well as adjusting his speed by pressing on the button with paw on it. The direction that Fred moves in can be changed from straight to curved by adjusting his accordion body. It's funny how Mason turns his head whenever Fred barks as if he's waiting for Fred to come play just like our yorkie, Lucky. Fred's bright colors and multi-textured body is perfect for a baby's development. He is recommended for ages 6 months to 18 months but I think he can even be enjoyed beyond that range.
Mason loves Kenzie's books and has been chewing on them much to my dismay so I wanted to find a more friendly book for him. The Double-Sided First Book is just perfect. He really should have had it since birth because it is just so visually stimulating. It is large but can be folded up compactly for travel. When opened, there are bright and simple illustrations which are easy for Mason to recognize. I "read" to Mason and he smiles when seeing himself in the mirror. The textural elements are also great for his development.
The Sunny Sunflower is a great toy to stash in the diaper bag. Mason doesn't have traditional rattles but is fond of grasping onto small objects (which aren't necessarily safe in my opinion) so I hoped he would love the Sunny Sunflower. He slowly took it in his hand and when I helped him rattle at first, he took to it immediately. It is easy to grasp and visually seeing the ball rattle is as much fun as feeling the crinkly sun. Too bad sis keeps on snatching it from him! It's amazing seeing how much he is learning and soaking in when playing with his Tiny Love toys (proud mama).
