My cousin reviewed the following and here are her thoughts:
My children received the Jr. Space Explorer from AeroMax, Inc. It is an inflatable space shuttle designed for ages 3 + that can accommodate a child up to 90 lb. I had no trouble inflating the space shuttle in a few minutes. The Jr. Space Explorer includes two QR codes that parents can scan for their children to watch educational videos of a launch and orbit of the earth. When we first received the Jr Space Explorer my children didn’t even realize that it was intended for water use. The weather report predicted thunderstorms every day for that week, so for the first few days, the kids were only playing with the space shuttle in the house. They loved pretending they were real astronauts exploring space. The pictures of the gears and buttons on the space shuttle is very detailed and realistic looking. Watching the videos on my phone really got them even more excited about space exploration, and it set off a whole discussion about space shuttles and brought up many questions about astronauts. We even went to the public library and checked out some books about space travel.
When we finally had a sunny day, I told the kids that we could take the Jr Space Explorer to the pool, and they were thrilled. It was a lot of fun to use in the water. It is not designed as a life saving device, so children must be held and supervised the whole time while using the space shuttle. The instructions say that it should only be used in water no deeper than the child’s height. Both my 18 month old and my five year old were able to use it in the pool with a little help from me to help them stabilize. They had a ton of fun taking turns with the Jr Space Explorer at the pool. The space shuttle will definitely be one of our must-haves for our next trip to the beach. I might have to get a second one so each of my children can have their own! The Jr Space Explorer is perfect for my kids because it can be for boys or girls, and it appeals to different ages. My 18 month old is a little young for it, but since it is soft, he can climb on it with his big sister.
The space shuttle material seems very durable, which is good because my kids play pretty rough. The space shuttle was a perfect thing to entertain them on a rainy day. I love any toy that encourages imagination while at the same time promoting educational curiosity. Aeromax also has other astronaut products for dress-up, such as a Jr Astronaut backpack, boots, and space gloves, which my daughter already decided she wants to order for next Halloween.
Buy It: You can purchase the Jr. Space Explorer Inflatable Space Shuttle for $34.99.
