I first happened upon The First Years cups when I was desperate for Kenzie to drink her milk. They have fun Disney cups she was enamored with - thus more inclined to drink her milk. The Gripper Sipper Non-Insulated Spill Proof Cups are of the same design and do not have extra parts to wash - just the lid and cup. The shape is ergonomic to allow a child to hold with their little hands and the top is the star. The spout features a rubber spill-proof valve that your child sucks the liquid out of. These cups are recommended for 9+ months and since Mason is a wee bit young to introduce these to, Kenzie was the tester.
I actually first put her Disney cup lid (as the lids are all interchangeable in the line) but she wanted the matching lid on the new cup. She loved the green color and downed her milk. These cups have been thrown (yes she is a bit of a thrasher), fallen off the table and endured travel in a diaper bag and have yet to spill anything. I love that there are no extra valves, sticks, etc. to wash and put together to ensure it not spilling.
I've introduced them to my friends who have older infants that are transitioning from the bottle and they have all been impressed with the ease of use. I can't wait for Mason to try these in a couple months plus you can't beat the fabulous price!
