[Not Quite] Wordless Wednesday: Hidden Sushi Gem in LA: The Room Sushi Bar

I love sushi.  I could probably eat it everyday although being a nursing mom it is probably not recommended.  However, I had the opportunity to meet up with fellow bloggers to enjoy a feast before boot camp this past weekend.  The Room Sushi Bar in Westwood, California is the best sushi in Los Angeles - my opinion.  It's a cozy little place run by friends.

I'm going to take you on a journey of the yummy selections brought out by the chef.  Sadly, I didn't photograph the delicious iced mango green tea of which I had about 4 refills.

I usually do not eat the standard edamame that Kenzie enjoys mostly because it is the variety that you can just pick up from Costco in bulk and prepare.  However, I tried it and the blend of garlic with jalapeno was heavenly.  My fingers were coated with the "sauce" and my mouth was ready for some fun.

The vegetable tempura was crisp and flavorful but I was ready for something more.

My eyes lit up once the yellowtail & salmon collar came out.  Delicious, flaky fish in a generous portion with a light sauce.

My favorite - albacore!  So fresh and was the butter, melt-in-your mouth fish.  The pieces were large and I wanted to eat the entire plate by myself!

Ok this is is hands down the best veggie roll ever!  Each piece is so large that you need to open wide.  It features tofu wrapped in eggplant with avocado and more on the outside.  The sauce was killer and again, I wanted to eat the entire plate.

The Room Special

The rolls are a good size and the prices are fantastic.  Specialty rolls really are unique rather than the standard you usually find around where I live in Orange County.  I can't wait to venture back and am super jealous of my friend who can walk here from her home and indulge in this sensational spread on a weekly basis.
