Kenzie received another great 2013 Learning Resources product for review - Hide-n-Go Moo. I actually selected this because it would be a great learning toy for Mason and a good tool for Kenzie to "teach" him. The Hide-n-Go Moo is a toy barn with 4 sets of farm animals.
The farm animals include horses, cows, ducks and pigs. There is one adult and one baby for each. One of the games you can play is to match up the baby animal to the mama or papa animal. Kenzie was excited to see the pairs and she eventually lined them up by matching. The pieces are durable and can be washed if they end up in someone's mouth. Still talking about Kenzie here, not Mason, haha. The barn is smaller than I imagined and it would be nice to have a wider variety of animals.
The main play is to place the animals inside the barn and use sensory skills to identify each animal by touch. There is a vinyl flap on the top which is easy for little toddler hands to go in and out. It doesn't scratch up Kenzie's hands either. She definitely enjoys hiding her animals in the barn to quickly finding them again. The size of this toy makes it very portable and clean up is a breeze as you just place the animals inside the barn for nap time.
Learning Resources has yet again created a fun, educational toy that keeps little ones busy and entertained while learning about animals, animal noises, sizes/dimensions and sensory/touch skills. I can't wait for Mason to have fun with this, other than gripping onto an animal and grunting.
