Kidkraft: Bead Maze Cube

I love how Mason is more and more interactive each day.  His fascination with his fingers to insides of cups is refreshing.  I was excited to introduce him to the Bead Maze Cube by KidKraft.

It features a farm theme with trees, farmhouse, farm animals and more.  The bead maze has solid wood pieces that Mason loves to move around.  The farmhouse and tree have 2 pieces each and are stackable by pegs. Kenzie mainly plays with these and Mason just throws the pieces around and laughs.  He likes expressing his enjoyment.  Check out the vid:

There are activities on all four sides of the cube: Rotating Gears, Tracking Maze with movable pieces, shape sorter and rotating number/picture cubes.  Mason only plays with the rotating cubes right now but Kenzie's favorite is the shape sorter.  She states the shape and finds the coordinating apple to place on it.  I am so proud of her.  Loads of fun without any batteries - hurray!

The bead maze top flips to fit inside the cube to make it a flat surface.  The cube is also great to store other toys inside (as Kenzie has done).  The corners are bit sharper than I would like but there is no danger.  If you want to be extra cautious, you can place padding on there.  As with any toy, when there is adequate supervision and advisement, your tot will definitely enjoy this fantastic wooden toy.

Buy It:  You can purchase the Kidkraft Bead Maze Cube for $33.50 on Amazon.

  8. I love these toys. More importantly, my son loves them! He's starting to outgrow them, but still is drawn to the huge one at our doctor's office. I think the bead maze and games are very good for a child's development as well.

  9. That's a great price for such an elaborate toy! It seems like something that would be found at a daycare.
