New Year, New Home: Bodum & Giveaway!

When we moved into our home and started unpacking, I realized how much I decided to toss because it was not needed or needed to be replaced.  Most were kitchen related.  I first heard about bodum when I saw my boss's coffee cup and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they also carried a variety of kitchen products as well.  I was happy to try out bodum's Bistro Set - Starter Set Gadget Kit because this was a fundamental kitchen tool replacement.

 

 

This is great for starting your first kitchen collection or upgrading your tools like we did.  It includes five pieces: slotted spoon, slotted spatula, can opener, measuring spoon set and spatula.  I just love the pop of color the lime set gives our kitchen and the set is made very well.  One problem I had with most of our old kitchen utensils was the pieces were fray and peel upon continued use with high heat.  I don't cook often but Hubs does and he's the one who primarily complains when I purchase a dud tool.  

 

 

 

  

The slotted spoon and slotted spatula are the most used in our kitchen.  They are sturdy and held up well in high heat and were a breeze to wash.  The tools are dishwasher safe.  We mostly use the can opener at holiday times when making sides.  The bodum can opener was sharp and opened a can with the ease of turning.  I love that the little measuring spoons are on a large loop.  Easy to switch between the different sizes and hard to keep away from Kenzie's grubby hands :)  All in all, this set is great to build our new stash upon when replacing our current tools.
