Kidfresh & Giveaway!

Getting Kenzie to eat a good balanced meal is tough....especially during the week when we are busy with work.  I was excited for her to try the All Natural Children's Meals from Kidfresh.  These are made of 100% natural ingredients and are high in protein and vitamins and low in sodium.  

I received 6 coupons so I picked up 2 of each meal offered at our grocery store: Spaghetti Loops + Meat Sauce, Wagon Wheels Mac + Cheese and Muy Cheesy Quesadillas.  These are frozen meals prepared with hidden veggies, providing up to 33% of a child's daily needs.  Kenzie usually doesn't have an adverse reaction to eating veggies, however, the preparation of a healthy, balanced meal at home is not often (we take out a lot!) so these were a perfect alternative for her dinners.  

Kenzie, of course, wanted to try the Mac+Cheese first.  The wheel shaped pasta is mixed with cheddar and mozzarella cheese with blended carrots in the sauce.  I zapped it in the microwave and Kenzie was chowing down in no time.  She loved the pasta shape and gobbled it up.  

The Quesadillas were next.  They come 2 to a box and they are individually wrapped.  One is enough for Kenzie and I can cut it up into pieces for her.  These are stuffed with cheddar and Monterrey cheese with blended carrots.  This is primarily a snack for Kenzie on the weekends.  This is a great alternative when we order Mexican food for take-out.  Kenzie can enjoy in the theme while eating something healthier than the one from the restaurant.  

The Spaghetti was also well received.  The loops are thin and the meat is mixed in a classic tomato sauce.  Hidden inside the sauce is a half cup of pureed veggies!  Kenzie liked the flavor but kept asking where the meat was.  She is so used to the sausage or meatballs that Hubs uses in his pastas that she demanded more meat!  

I am definitely going to have to scour the other markets to find the Kidfresh meals we have not yet tried.  Kenzie will always have Kidfresh in the freezer for quick, healthy meals:)
