Ergobaby: Travel Collection Baby Carrier

Traveling with baby is a continuous journey whether hopping across the country or headed to the grocery store.  Mason likes to snuggle and although he's getting a wee bit hefty, I still strap him in a baby carrier.  I love my organic Ergo carrier and have been using it religiously but when I roll it up to place in my diaper bag or in the car, it's a bit bulky.  That's why I was excited to receive the new Ergobaby Travel Collection Baby Carrier Stowaway in Navy.

This is different than any other baby carrier I have tried.  It's shell is made of 100% recycled materials with padded shoulder straps and padded waist belt.  The material is super light and cool to wear.  The absolute unique part is that it folds into itself into a compact size that can easily be stashed in the diaper bag, compartment of your car and carry on for the airplane.  It has a handy wrist strap that you can use a clip to hang on your stroller and/or carseat.  The entire carrier is only about one pound!

The fit and wear is just like the standard Ergo yet oh so light.  the straps are adjustable to fit most adults and the hood is thin and large.  The snaps for the hood are placed a bit forward on this carrier which is great when you are wearing baby on back.  I wish there were additional snaps a little higher so the hood would be a bit closer over the head when wearing baby on front.  The back strap is adjustable and can go up and down the handy piping for proper fit.  This is a great feature which allows it to lay where it is most comfortable to the user.

This is a fantastic carrier to stash everywhere you go with baby.  I can put Mason in this for hours without strain.  It's not quite as plushly padded as the original carrier but Mason is happy it in and keeps on trying to chew the straps (good thing I had several teething pads from Kenzie's time).

I am really happy with the Ergobaby Stowaway Carrier and definitely recommend it as a must have!  One of my close friends is expecting and has no clue on baby products - guess who is going to put this on her registry?

Ergobaby has a great selection of baby carriers in several styles to fit your needs.  My friend who is an active jogger purchased the Performance carrier (after my recommendation) because she runs a crazy amount of miles and enjoys taking her baby outdoors.

Buy It:  You can purchase the Ergobaby Stowaway in Navy for $115.

  1. I love my Ergo, I have chronic back and hip pain and even carrying my toddler in my ergo it does not aggrivate it like other carriers have.

  2. I love mine, too! This is a great option for travel when you won't need it much.

  3. This looks like a great carrier. I didn't have one of these when my son was little, this would have been useful through.

  4. wow cool that you can put it in that little bag.
