Aeromax: My 1st Career Shirt & Giveaway!

My cousin reviewed the Aeromax My 1st Career Shirt with her daughter, Ashlynn, and here are her thoughts:

My daughter loves to play dress up.  What girl doesn’t?  Right now (age 4 ½) she’s really into role play.  She is always pretending to be a doctor, dentist, firefighter, or vet, etc.  So when I saw the Aeromax Toys website www.aeromaxtoys.com I knew my daughter would love their dress up gear for children called My First Career Gear.  They have costumes for almost any occupation your son or daughter could wish for, including a magician, chef, astronaut, and many more.   I showed my daughter the choices on the website.  It was hard to get her to pick only one costume, but she chose the Zoo Keeper.  

This is perfect for her because she always wants to play Animal Rescue Center with her stuffed animals.  She has a little vet kit that I bought her and she’s always giving check-ups to her sick or injured animals.  So this Zoo Keeper costume was the finishing touch she needed.  When it arrived in the mail, she was so excited, she couldn’t wait to try it on.  The shirt was adorable.  It’s a little roomy on her, but not too big, so it should fit her for a while.  It fastens easily with velcro down the front, so she can take it on and off easily and independently.  The shirt has a clear pocket window on the front for a nametag, so I put her name on a little paper and slipped it right in to personalize her new costume.  

The design on the shirt is so cute.  It looks like it has a little pocket (just a picture not a real pocket) with a parrot sitting on it.  There are other ‘pockets’ on the shirt, one with keys hanging and another with a clipboard that says “animal feeding schedule.”  My daughter loves her new costume.  She wears it all the time now when she gives her stuffed animals their check ups.  She even said that she wants to be a Zoo Keeper for Halloween this year.  Aeromax sells a matching hat which I plan to order to complete the look for her Halloween costume.  My daughter’s preschool had a carnival last week where the kids got to dress in costume, so of course she went as a Zoo Keeper.  All of her little friends at school loved her costume.  The back of the shirt has footprints (pawprints) running across it, which is totally adorable.  

My daughter wants to order more costumes from Aeromax.  She wants to try the Police Officer shirt next.   These costumes are great because they can slip on over your child’s regular clothes without undressing.  The Zoo Keeper costume really sparked an interest for my daughter in the career.  She wants to learn all about what zoo keepers do and how they take care of the animals.  We went to the aquarium this weekend and she was asking a lot of questions about what they feed the animals and how they train them.  I am excited because she is excited about learning new things.  She asks me questions about what different animals eat, and I don’t always know the answer, so we wind up looking up questions on the internet and reading and learning together about animals’ habitats and behaviors.  This product is just a costume, but for my daughter it has really opened up a whole new world of curiosity.  As a parent, I couldn't be happier to see her initiating her learning in a fun way with things she’s interested in.
