New Year, New Home Event: My Wonderful Walls & Giveaway!

So moving into a larger home meant Kenzie would reclaim her own room since at our previous home Mason's dresser and changer were in her room as well.  This also meant she would have a larger space to decorate.  Since we were having the place repainted, I asked the painter to paint her room her favorite color - green.  Hubs and I are not paint savvy as I've mentioned before.  Even my Color Me Mine items turn out not so fab.  The freshly painted walls needed some decor for my sweet Kenzie so I was excited to receive the Splendid Garden Wall Sticker Kit from My Wonderful Walls.  

This kit included large fabric wall stickers that came on large sheets in a tube mailer.  I've never tried fabric wall stickers so I was pleasantly surprised when I began peeling off the tree.  These are super thin and adhered to the wall pretty well.  To make application of the super tall tree easier on me (and my helper Kenzie), I cut around the tree shape and started peeling and sticking and smoothing with my hand all in one motion.  When a branch went awry I would just re-position and smooth.   

Since I was wearing Mason in a carrier while decorating so Kenzie brought over her step stool and was eager to help.  As soon as I rolled out the paper with the stickers she was excited to see the different flowers and birds/butterflies/etc.  I told her we should start placing the flowers on the tree branches and she was a pro at it.  

The application process is easy that you just peel and stick.  The thinness of the fabric stickers and no white edges really does make it look like a mural painting.  Although we did not have an elaborate wall paint job which includes rolling hills and meadows, I think the green background provided an equally fabulous palette for Kenzie's new "garden".  

The personalized sign is a treat.  Kenzie loved going over the letters with her fingers spelling out her name.  It really does give a sense of room ownership to your little tot.

Kenzie pretended to water the flowers with the watering can and she just loves the snail since she's always on the hunt for them outside.  The mouse was not so loved so we decided to place him under the outlet :)

As you can see Kenzie is delighted in her new wall decor and it was a breeze to apply.  She always wants her grandpa to come up and see her room when he comes over and even Mason likes to face this wall when I put him down in her room.  

I am so delighted with the results and have already recommended My Wonderful Walls to several people.  These do not ruin your walls when you try to re-position/remove (i.e. no paint comes off with it) and even the most novice can create a masterpiece.
