Welcome to the New Year, New Home Event hosted by Being MVP, Baby Dickey and Coping with Frugality. We are excited to introduce you to some awesome brands with products that are perfect for your new (and current) home. Next Up is Chef's Planet!
I was excited to move into our new home because the kitchen had enough cabinet space so that pans did not have to be stored in the oven. I can't tell you the countless times I had to remove all the pans in order to bake something and then place them back when done. It was a big hassle that detered me from baking too often. We also have more counterspace with an island :) Therefore, I was excited to receive the following kitchen products from Chef's Planet: multipurpose nonstick kitchen mat, nonstick mesh crisper and measuring colander.
I love smoothies and the measuring colander is handy for rinsing and measuring out fruits. No additional cup needs to be washed with this all in one. The 3 cup size is fantastic for this purpose and the measuring lines on both sides of the colander is easy to read - measurements can be taken by cup or pint. This is easy to clean and super handy in the kitchen and will be much used once I start making Mason more complex foods.
Since Valentine's Day is coming up and Kenzie is so inquisitive when Hubs is cooking, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to bake some Valentine's cookies with her. The multipurpose nonstick kitchen mat came in handy because we put it on the baking sheet to keep the cookies from sticking and cooking more evenly. I didn't have to use the traditional cooking spray and it was easy to clean. This is dual-sided in that while you can use it as I did, you can flip it over and it becomes a nonstick work surface for dough prep, etc. Guess who enjoyed making cookies?
I sadly have to admit that we cook a lot of frozen foods - a bit less now that Hubs has been into cooking dinner more often (we were more of a takeout family before moving to the new home). We love onion rings, french fries, pizza, etc. but our current method of tossing into the toaster oven does not always come out as crispy as I would like. The Mesh Crisper has solved the sogginess issue. The mesh allows the heat to circulate evenly during our reheating process which means crispy foods! Although you can place it directly on the oven rack I placed it on a baking sheet and it worked perfectly and yummy, crispy onion rings came out.
All of the Chef's Planets products I received are easy to wash and are well made. They offer products such as an awesome BBQ Kit, measuring scoops, hand soaps and more.
Buy It: You can purchase the 3 cup measuring colander for $15, the multipurpose nonstick kitchen mat for $25 and mesh crisper for $20.
