Welcome to the New Year, New Home Event hosted by Being MVP, Baby Dickey and Coping with Frugality. We are excited to introduce you to some awesome brands with products that are perfect for your new (and current) home. Next Up is Luma Comfort!
Recently, an essential need for our home comfort is a humidifier and we received the most beautiful one from Luma Comfort. The Ultrasonic cool mist humidifier goes beyond expectation in both design and function. From the site photos I thought the body would be made of a fragile material but it's kid-friendly plastic! The all white color makes it fresh and clean in our living space.
It was easy to put together out of the box and after filling it with tap water (rather than distilled water which other humidifiers take), it was ready for use. This is a money saving feature because the the demineralization cartridge prevents lime scale and mineral buildup that usually accompanies tap water use. I decided to go with the tall look although it comes with the shorter option. Hubs agreed that the tall option best fit our space.
I placed it on top of the side table and turned it on by pressing the flat button. It is touchscreen-like and very cool. There is also a remote (battery included) which can be used to turn on/off and adjust mist. I love using the remote although I can easily reach over and push the button. Kenzie gets a kick out of turning it on and off because of the musical sounds :)
I max out the mist to help keep our living room well regulated for the kiddos. You can actually see the micro fine mist coming out of the top of the humidifier and dissipate into the air. This vase design humidifier is rad because there are 8 adjustable mist settings covering 650 square feet and can operate for up to 45 hours on one tank fill! I am definintely in awe at the latter feature. We keep it on from the time I get home to when we go to bed. The ultrasonic technology saves energy - I won't really know the actual cost until our first electric bill comes - which will definitely be higher than our smaller condo - however I am optimistic. This humidifier is also great for the kiddos because it naturally eliminates dust particles. I have allergies and am always vacuuming and wiping but it has slacked a bit since we've moved. I absolutely am in love with our Luma Comfort humidifer and hope they come out with equally sleek designs so we can have one in every room!
