being MVP: Woolino & Giveaway!

Woolino & Giveaway!

SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) is a major concern of most new parents.  The possibility that your child could get tangled up in blankets and suffocate is worrisome especially now with winter upon us.  Woolino offers a premium sleeping bag made of 100% natural fabrics: pure cotton outside and merino wool inside.  This means that your little one will be comfortable and not overheat in all seasons.  Mason received the Sky Blue sleeping bag and it's awesome.

When I took it  out of the bag I was surprised at how long the body of the sack was.  I read that it would accomodate tots 3 to 24 months however the mechanics didn't occur to me until I put Mason in it.  There are snaps under the armpits for smaller tots and also snaps midway to fold the sack up if you wish.  Mason kicks around while sleeping so I thought it best to keep it long.

There are also double snaps in the shoulder area for easy wear and changes.  The full length zipper is amazing - it spans from the bottom third of one side of the bag all the around to right underneath the armpit on the other side.  This allows for easy, quick changing in the middle of the night.  I love this because I can dress Mason in only a onesie and not worry about his legs and feet getting cold.  Ironically, his feet are so cold opposed to his  body temperature.

It's not terribly cold right now in Southern California but we do leave the heater on around 70 degrees.  I worried that the Woolino sleeping bag may be too warm but I was mistaken.  From the first night Mason snuggled in his bag, he was cozy and happy.  He easily sleeps on his back and tummy without my worry that he has his head buried in blankets.  Merino wool has natural temperature regulating properties so this one sack will be of use year long.

Now that I've mentioned how technically wonderful the Woolino baby sleeping bag is, let me mention that this is a beautiful and smart design.  The pieces is sewn impeccably and the fabrics are top notch.  I was afraid since this is made of "wool" it would require dry cleaning.  A huge sigh of relief as I read it is machine washable!  This is well worth the initial price of the bag.  Machine washable baby things are highly sought out by me because as cute as a cashmere set is (Kenzie's baby outfit), it is impractical as something is bound to dirty it up.  I hope that Woolino decides to bring out a baby clothing/accessory line as their clean, classic design would transition well.

  1. Since their website sums it up best, I'm just copying & pasting what I like best about Woolino:

In addition, what many people don’t know is that, synthetics, including the polar fleece are highly flammable materials and, in order to pass the children fire safety regulations, they are treated with Dangerous Flame Retardant Chemicals.

Woolino baby sleep bag is made from the world’s most superior natural fiber – merino wool that is a natural fire retardant and it is free of any flame-retardants.
