The Tale of the Tooth Fairy

Kenzie has thankfully followed in my footsteps and has a love of books.  When she saw the Tale of the Tooth Fairy Storybook Set she inquired what it was and as soon as I opened the box, she squealed book and snatched it.  The book and 9" plush is housed in a keepsake box which is perfect for gift giving.

The story is about a little fairy trying to find her place and job.  She journeys to find the perfect job and gets permission to become the tooth fairy.  She is given a pouch to collect the teeth but after having difficulty locating them, she ended up leaving a small toy fairy with pouch so the tooth can be left there for her to pick up.  She would also leave the gift, of course.

This hardcover book is sweet and introduces the tooth fairy idea to children.  Since Kenzie has not lost a tooth yet (she's almost 3), by having the story to enjoy and learn right now she will be excited and prepared once the time comes.  The storyline is simple and easy to follow.  The words are big so once Kenzie can actually read, it will be a breeze.  The illustrations are also very colorful and appealing - almost like watercolor paintings.  The last page of the book has the tooth loss chart complete with numbered teeth illustration.  This is a great way to track tooth loss rather than save crummy old teeth (yes I think I used to save mine until it seemed rather gross).

The fairy doll's short and pouch are removable so Kenzie had a good time taking off/putting on these items.  She can now dress herself and enjoys dressing up her dolls in Mason's small clothes so naturally the fairy was in good hands.  The keepsake box also doubles as the fairy's house.  Kenzie is going to enjoy reading this book over and over again and when the time comes for using the fairy's pouch, she will be ready and waiting for that special gift.

  1. I love this book and plush doll. I am going to pin this for future reference as my 3 year old had a few years before he starts looking teeth. When he gets a little closer this will be the perfect book.

  7. This is too cute for words. I'd definitely love to get one for my baby Adam and once the time comes for his teeth to fall out, I'd love for him to know the story already of the tooth fairy and to have the pouch. I also love that it's neutral to gender :) Thanks!
