The weather has become a bit chilly now that it is approaching holiday season. One of my favorite products to gift are toasty shoes to keep one warm this winter. While I do love the classic sheepskin boot, I wanted to glam it up with the Sandon boot from Emu Australia. I received it in black leather and right out of the box I was smitten.
This is a wedge boot with moderate height (compared to those killer platform heels) and slips on and off. The leather has a vintage look and the strap detail with antique metal fastening above the heel cup adds a bit of flair. The lining is made of Australian sheepskin which wicks away moisture so no more "stinky shoes" as Kenzie would say. The rubber sole in zig zag pattern gives it traction and is ideal for even rain/snow.
These boots reach me mid-calf and although I have somewhat skinny calves (approx. 12 inch around), I didn't have too much space around my calves so as to make me look like a swashbuckler. I have a difficult time finding boots for small calves that do not cost an arm and a leg. I was able to put on my stretchy skinny jeans and tuck them right in. These boots are so comfortable in that my feet felt as if they were being pampered. They are a bit warm so great for fall/winter and the rain/snow that accompanies those seasons.
These boots are versatile due to the leather outer and wedge style. No teetering on obscenely high boots here. I bet I could even run with these on. You can dress it down with jeans, top/sweater and also pair it with a dress. When I wear them to work on a rainy day with a dress, I'll have to post a pic :) I'm sure work will appreciate that the Sandon are a bit more appropriate than my rainboots. I'll also be rocking these boots when we go up to Mammoth Mountain for some snowboarding and sledding for Kenzie.
These are definitely quality boots that anyone would appreciate. As the holiday season nears and cold weather looms here (and has already been in full force in other states), pick up a pair of Emu Australia boots for you or as a gift. I think my MIL would love a pair!
Buy It: You can purchase the Sandon for $299.
