What child does not fancy a bike for Christmas? It seems like that is one of the many presents usually under the tree. However, what about the child that cannot ride a bike yet? Britax offers the Child Bike Seat for those not yet ready to ride on their own (or want a ride from mum and dad). Kenzie is still hesitant to ride her tricycle on her own even though they have bike day once a month at preschool. I think she'd rather me or Hubs do all the work.
The bike seat was easy to install once I figured out the directions. Since I only have a cruiser at the moment (please note that it is not recommended for attachment), I tweaked it a bit and got it installed. The Britax bike seat features a Click & Cruise Bracket for ease of attachment and removal of the child bike seat. Once you install the bracket onto your bike, you literally just click the seat in! We will definitely have to get another one for Hubs' bike (when he gets one) so the seat can be transferred easily between the two.

The bike seat is recommended for children 9 months to 4 years old, up to 40 pounds. Since Kenzie is almost 3 and weighs about 26 pounds, she can enjoy this fully until it's Mason's turn (or we purchase another for him). Due to the wide range, there are a vast number of positions that can be adjusted on several parts. The head rest can adjust to 9 positions with one hand and the foot rests can adjust 15 positions. After adjusting the foot rest you just snap on and off over your child's foot.
The seat itself looks pretty comfortable for Kenzie to sit in because of the machine washable padding. The padding is also reversible from red to gray. There is a tall backrest with deep sides. The 5-point harness with shoulder pads keeps her safe and is easy to wear by pulling over her head and locking into place. The 2-position recline will be perfect for Mason so he can chill and enjoy the ride. There is built-in suspension so your child is not experiencing extra bumps when biking. This is the neatest feature because comfort is key in keeping tots happy.
Kenzie really enjoys riding in her bike seat (more so than riding her own bike) because she gets to feel the breeze and the trip to the park is indeed quicker than on her own.

This is a wonderful holiday gift for any infant/toddler that wants to ride with mum and dad around the neighborhood, beach or anywhere two wheels can take them!

I love Britax. I don't need a B-ready but would totally love one! My next purchase will probably be the Frontier 85 SICT though as the baby will outgrow the infant seat and move into the boulevard 70. Or maybe we'll get another boulevard 70... I dunno?!
