SIDS Awareness Month: HALO Safe Sleep Crib Set 50% Off Coupon + Free Shipping!

October is SIDS Awareness Month and with the American Academy of Pediatrics is now saying “no” to crib bumpers.  Bill Schmid, the founder of HALO Innvovations, emphasizes that a crib quilt and bumpers pose a breathing threat for baby.  Therefore, HALO Innovations has introduced the SleepSack Crib Set which was designed to create an attractive and safe sleep environment for babies.

The sets are available in a variety of prints, including a gender neutral green.  We received the Friendly Caterpillar design and it is just adorable for Mason.  The crib set includes the following:
  • 2-in-1 adjustable SleepSack Swaddle that allows for swaddling arms in or arms out to ensure an easy transition to the SleepSack wearable blanket when it's time to stop swaddling. 100% cotton. Size newborn fits 6-12 lbs.
  • HALO SleepSack wearable blanket that replaces loose blankets that can cover a baby’s face and interfere with breathing. Plus, it’s a cozy blanket your baby can’t kick off, for a better night’s sleep. 100% Cotton. Size Small fits 10-18lbs.
  • Two, 100% Cotton Jersey fitted crib sheets; one solid, one in coordinating print.
  • One coordinating decorative crib skirt.

Since Mason is a meaty 2 month old weighing in at 15.2 lbs at his checkup last week, the fantastic SleepSack Swaddle was a wee bit tiny for him.  However, the HALO SleepSack is amazing!  Since the temperatures are still in the 90s, we run our air conditioning throughout the night.  I dress Mason in a short sleeve onesie so he doesn't overheat - he gets extremely hot just like mama.  He loves it and since he is on the higher side of the weight limit of the small size, I'll have to get him a medium soon.  The lady sitting next to me on the plane told me her son sleeps only in his HALO sleepsacks!

(Yes he's asleep although his eyes look a bit open.  Maybe subconsciously he's keeping his eye open for Kenzie)

The crib sheets are made of a soft jersey and they will be perfect once I set up Mason's crib.  Fingers crossed as we've put in another offer on a home this week!  The HALO crib set is safe because Mason is kept warm in his sleepsack without the danger of suffocating on loose blankets and bumpers.  I don't have to worry in the middle of the night.

  1. I love the sleep sack and my daughter has several. I didn't know they did crib bedding too. Will be looking into getting some.

  2. Love halo sleep sacks! I like how they are multifunctional - swaddle and sack. My son is no longer swaddled (hated it when he was a newborn and is too old now), but the sleep sack would be great to dress him with now that it's getting colder. Thanks for the post!

  6. The sleepsack was an absolute must with my youngest daughter who would get tangled in her blankets with her feeding tube at night.
