Ameda Intimates: Nursing Bra

Nursing is hard work.  It's also a pain to have to wear a special bra with pads.  Therefore, it is essential to have a wonderful bra that is comfortable to wear as well as easy to use when Mason is crying for some milk.  The Ameda Intimates Nursing Bra  is just that and much more.

I went with a size 2 which according to the sizing chart accomodates quite a range.  It seemed pretty small out of the package but when I put it on it fit perfectly.  It is made of a microfiber fabric that is lightly absorbent to help prevent bacteria growth and odors.  As anyone who has nursed before knows, milk can spray at any time and in all directions so you need a good bra.

This bra features a drop cup design with a one-hand release clasp which is pretty easy to use and open/close with one hand which is essential when Mason decides to unlatch while in the midst of feeding and milk sprays.  You can also use this bra while pregnant because it features dual knit side panels to adapt to your shape.  I didn't get as big this time around with Mason as I did with Kenzie but as everyone knows, those puppies are never the same shape/form as pre-pregnancy.

I have to say this is the most comfortable bra I have tried thus far.  I can wear it to sleep without being irritated.  The straps are wide and soft without digging into my shoulders.  The back clasp is easy to use and provides support.  It washes great in a lingerie bag and looks as new with air drying.  It does show the big breastpad if you are wearing thin clothing but if you wear a standard cotton top you are good to go!

This bra is available in A-J cup sizes so most everyone can find their perfect bra :)  The camisole looks awesome as well.

  3. I'm looking for new nursing bras as mine are starting to wear out. It's so hard to find an affordable and nice bra...I need one that's supportive without all of the wire junk. This looks like a great option...and it looks comfy too! I love the sides that adjust to fluctuations in size. Thanks for the review!
